It all began on a warm summer evening in 2024 — the kind of night where everything feels still, yet full of promise. I’ve always loved creating cozy, beautiful spaces: soft flowers, the gentle glow of candles, a glass of wine in hand.

As I sat there in that peaceful moment, I looked up and saw the moon — distant, yet luminous. Its light reached us from afar, serene and unwavering.

That night, as the candlelight flickered beside me, something stirred within. I realized how deeply I loved candles — their scent, their warmth, the quiet comfort they bring. I wondered: what if I tried making one myself?

A few days later, I shared that spark of inspiration with my partner. Together, we poured our first candle — and instantly fell in love with the process. What began as curiosity soon became a calling. With every flame we created, our passion grew brighter, filling our hearts with purpose and possibility.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of building something meaningful — a brand that not only creates beauty, but inspires it in others. To remind people that dreams are meant to be pursued, even through uncertainty. That everything is possible when you believe — in God, and in yourself.

And so, MachMoon was born: from one quiet evening, a flickering flame, and the eternal light of faith.

We design every candle as a small constellation: carefully named after moons, discoverers, and mythic figures, then brought to life through thoughtful fragrance blends and hand-poured craftsmanship.

    Each MachMoon candle is inspired by celestial beauty — hand-poured in small batches using a premium soy-paraffin blend for a clean, long-lasting burn. Every fragrance is crafted from high-quality oils and designed to evoke the mystique of moons, stars, and the calm of the cosmos.

    All of our candles are proudly designed, poured, and packaged in-house in Maryland, USA. Every step — from blending wax to labeling — is handled with care and precision.

  • 3. What type of wax do you use?

    We use a soy-paraffin wax blend, chosen for its smooth finish, even melting, and excellent scent throw. This combination allows for both eco-friendly performance and a luxurious experience.

  • 4. Are your wicks made of cotton?

    Yes. Our wicks are 100% natural flat-braided cotton, free from zinc or lead, ensuring a clean, steady flame without harmful emissions.

  • 5. How long do MachMoon candles burn?

    Our standard 10 oz candles burn approximately 45–55 hours, while our 6 oz sizes burn around 25–30 hours. Burn times may vary slightly depending on your environment and care routine.

  • 6. Are your products cruelty-free?

    Absolutely. None of our ingredients or finished products are tested on animals. Our fragrances are carefully sourced to meet high ethical and safety standards.

  • 7. Do your candles contain phthalates?

    No — all our fragrance oils are phthalate-free, ensuring safer, cleaner air quality while still delivering strong, luxurious aroma.

  • 8. How can I repurpose my candle jars?

    Our ceramic and glass vessels are designed to live on long after the last burn. Once the candle is finished, simply clean the jar with warm water and mild soap — it makes a perfect home for flowers, brushes, or keepsakes.
